[RESOLVED] Driver installation error
My w2k has this wired problem, this started yesterday.
Everything worked fine when I shut off my computer the day before, then I switched on my computer yesterday, I found out it unloaded my video card driver, and now it's rejecting any drivers that I'm trying to install/reinstall.
I know it's not the driver that's causing the problem, but w2k
these are some of the error messages:
an error occured during the installation of the device driver
cannot find the specified file
would somebody please help me out, I greatly appreciate any advise or help
thank you

It's a 733Mhz, 128MB, Geforce 2 GTS, W2K
The problem is not only restricted to video driver, but rather drivers in general, including my monitor driver (not a big deal here), my point is that it seems to me that some system files needed to complete the installation of any driver are either missing or corrupted
Also I tried to install the driver by right click the 'inf' file, then install from there, my computer gives me the error message 'installation failure' without any further useful info,

If you're having troubles installing the drivers, I would boot in Safe Mode...delete all devices that you are having troubles with. Reboot...let WinDoze find the devices again and load the drivers again. Have your Win2000 CD already loaded up and installed.
Also, check for viruses.
Good Luck!
