What is this file?
Everytime I book Winme, I get 'not enough memory to run application winkceg.exe .
I have 512MB ram. It is running out of the windows/system directory, and every time I remove it from the startup tab in msconfig, after I hit apply, close it and re open msconfig, its checked off again.
If I CTRL-ALT-DEL I will not see it running.
Anyone have any idea what this file is? I can't find it anywhere on the internet.
Thanx!

Odd, I searched for the file and it couldn't be found. So I went into regedit, searched for it, found one instance of it somewhere in the IE registry entries, deleted it, and now my system rebooted fine.
*shrug*
Still, anyone know what it is / was?

it may have been an ISP file used to configure software for the service.. like proxies or something. It could also have been a virii of some sort.

If it was in the IE area of the registry it was probably some sort of spyware...

I'll just have to keep an eye on a credit card for awhile, I think I used it once when I noticed that error message popping up.

there's a great proggie from lavasoft called adaware.. it will scan your puter and remove any spyware that's installed. the first time i ran it it found 157 diff things. i run it on a semi-daily basis now and it finds anywhere from 5-30 things. you should go grab it.
