From someone who has six surgeries for a torn achilles under her belt, I know what a big deal your news is. Just imagine...at some point, you'll actually be able to take showers again!
Mega-congrats to you, Kong!

torn achilles that smarts!!!! How in the world did you do that? I've had 2 ankle surgeries (same ankle - different sides), 1 knee surgery, 1 wrist (left) and 1 neck procedure, but torn achilles is a major, major undertaking!!! I hope you have fully recovered from those Renée. I know the recovery time from that is rather lengthy for 1 I couldn't imagine 6 (mega-ouch)!
Oh about the shower!!! Yeah it's neat to take the Air-Boot cast off and soak in a tub or take a shower . What a concept. My last ankle surgery in '79 they still put the heal on the bottom of the cast. When I brought that up to the nurse who cut my cast off she told me she has never seen one of those heels! Sigh I'm only 44, but suddenly I felt 99. To make matters worse my Doctor just chuckled and said he had seen them in school, but never has used one in practice. Ya gotta love progress!
