    Post Who Made this board?

I have been given a mobo free! - hooray

It's a Socket7 with a VIA Chipset and the only distinguishing marks is the model - P5VP-A+

I thought it was an old ASUS board but I can't see it on their website.

Does anybody know how to ID by model if you don't have an FCC ID?

Thanks in advance for any help.

There are some useful tools at www.motherboards.org
MOBOT is kind of hit and miss, but it has helped me in the past.

Sounds like a DFI (Diamond Flower Inc) board to me.

    Thanks for the quick replies.

Although very close to a DFI model - it's not quite close enough.

I'm going to try motherboards.org and see what happens.

    Thanks again.

I'm not gonna say who won but after going to motherboards.org, joining the forum there, posting a message and getting a reply to say that it was an Elite Group mobo I came back here to find someone else has ID'ed it too.

Thanks a lot for all your help.

This has to be the best place I have ever found for easy to understand help and people who are so knowledgeable.

I know it's an ECS. ECS Web Site

We use them in our cheapo builds, and I've become really tired of seeing them.

They're OK boards, and they're great when free.
