USB port on NT machine

I am having fits trying to activate a palm on an NT machine through an USB connection. It is a dell l550r with two USB ports but NT doesn't recognize the ports at all. It is a NT workstation with service pack 6a installed. The OS doesn't know the USB ports exist. Help.

Ummmm....NT doesn't have any support for usb natively....you'll need to hook it to a serial port
