    Personally, I like to have the OS installed on a Fat32 partition so I can use the average Win98SE boot disk to access the drive.

    I don't want to have to invest in NTFSDOS Pro from SysInternals.com if I ever have to access the drive from a boot disk (On site calls).

    Compaq is using NTFS and Hp as well. Hp is using a "hidden partition" to use as a recovery instead of sending out a recovery disk. Kinda like Compaq using the "Save_Disk" partion. Im not sure what Ibm is doing, we dont sell those anymore.

    NTFS for most customers - again, unless specified.
    Also have to take a look at the software if the machine is going on a business network.
