Domain Registration
Help!!!
I want to register a domain name. But I am confused... I thought there was only one place to register, but there are hundreds! Also, why are there different prices? Some places want $50 a year, but some are as low as $15. Why the difference? What is the best way to go???

snigger.... Mat yer evil sometimes....
TechieChick each package comes with or without hosting or with or without certain capabilities. If you just want the name, go to the cheapest place.... but make sure you can change the host whenever you want without crippling "administration" charges.

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

well... i do try
Honestly techie, i would think that the different services offer DNS binding and possible hosting of the name. the real difference however i'm not sure, i'd read the fine print.

Well, I have had dealings with godaddy on Matridoms behalf. They are not too bad and very cheap.
PM me for the domain name he chose.

I've never had nor ever ask someone to register a domain name. I'm not hiding anything.. i just don't like being accused of doing something that i've never done.

I believe it depends on what you need.
If you are looking for registering the domain name and then have a few extra goodies, and quite a few bucks then may I suggest Register.com, Verisign, etc...
However all the above suggestions are extremely good as well so again its ups to you. good luck.
