Bootable Zip
I'm wondering how to make a Windows 98 bootable zip. I have xp but it would be nice to have a bootable zip disk. Thanks all.

HI,
If your Zip drive is an internal IDE drive, then it can be set to behave like a floppy drive. Just set the jumper on the back of the drive to "A".
Once the Zip drive is set as the "A" drive your computer will treat Zip disks just like floppies. Now you can create 100 or 250mb boot disks.

In case wannabe wasnt clear enuff, to make the disk all you need to do is put the disk in, rt clik on the zip drive letter, choose format. then copy system files only. An alternate is to drop to a command prompt and sys b:\ where b is the zip drive. You will need to go into your bios as he said to get the comp to boot to it.....Hope this helps.....

Also, if it's an external zip plus or zip SCSI and you hav eit hooked up to your SCSI card, i bet if you set boot to external, and SCSI in your bios it would boot to the zip
So, so busy lately. Oh, where do I start?

Also, a lot of mobo's will boot to a "removable drive" and if the boot order is set correctly, it should boot to the zip disk.
