[RESOLVED] Win98 Monitor Setting

Hi. Every time I change my display setting or desktop setting to 800x600 and the screen is really wide and centered. It's not full like 640x480 mode. I really would appreciate some help. Thanks for your time!

Try a different refresh rate setting for your video card. It sounds like your video card and monitor are not in sync, which gives you the strange-looking display. If that doesn't work you will either need to get a new monitor or hire an electronics tech to adjust the position and size controls on the main board inside your monitor.

Have you adjusted the controls on your monitor that move and resize the display? They usually need changing for every new video mode you use.
