AMD 64 or Pentium chip?

...Honestly if you have the cash to plunk down for a 64 then by all go ahead it's a nice CPU and offers value on down the road..

As a btw ... currently a p4 fsb 800 3ghz is almost exactly the same price as an amd 64

That's what I have

BUT you can't go by what I have cause I get my hardware (for the most part) for free. I would have gotten a 64 but that would have meant upgrading my mobo...blah blah blah...not worth all the time and effort IMO.
I'm not making any major upgrades until PC Express and some other updates come out.

Here's something I just read about a feature built into the AMD 64's. It will be activated when XP Sp2 is released. There is built in protection against Buffer Overflow viruses. Read it here. It will also be in the new Prescotts.
