Totally flummuxed!
Last week my bro's comp packed up - power to board came on etc but nothing appeared on the monitor .
I replaced mobo and proc , still same error . Tryed attaching comp to my working monitor , still nothing coming from his tower .. so monitor problem ruled out.
Yesterday installed new PSu .. still same thing board powers up fans spin no output at all to monitor .
Changed gfx card .. still nothing....
Any ideas ... could my new proc be faulty to .. or am i totally over looking something ? please help
PS even with no ram in it still just powers up .. no beeps or anything!

Try re-seating your ram or swapping it out.
The Moral Majority is neither.

The problem might be, as with some motherboards. That your bios might be looking for a PCI output for the monitor. Thus not giving you an output. Try changing to AGP, if the videocard in question is in a AGP slot. Also, have you try reseting the bios? (if you know how) then ener the bio's menu if possible and just go to save and exit. Try that hope it helps.

just thought of something. Is your HDD in perfect working order? But that still would not explain no beeps without ram...Are all your jumpers on the motherboard set correctly? Also try the options i had mentioned above.

Okay, so you've tried replacing power supply, motherboard, processor and monitor. Your best bet would be to try a minimal boot. Replace the RAM if you can, pull out ALL extraneous cards and power to ALL drives (floppy, hard drives, CDROM drives) and see if you get a POST screen. Also, if you're using a surge suppressor, try going straight to the wall outlet. Also, if possible you might want to use a wall outlet that's on a different circuit.
Perseverance in all matters.
