Post Setup is giving error after error

I'm reinstalling Windows 98 SE on a customers PC and I am getting the following errors constantly. Regsvr32 caused invalid page fault in module regsvr32.exe

    It is also giving errors...
"Error occurred calling DllRegisterServer in C:\windows\system\shdocvw.dll (HRESULT=80070057)

I've tried everything I know to do.

I've fdisked and reformatted the HDD. I've flashed the bios up to date. I've ran the system thru Microscope and the hard drive thru Spinrite.

    Thanks in advance.

    I'm thinking about the memory..

Have you checked it with a memory burn-in utility?

I believe that your right. I removed 1 stick of memory and upon POST I got the memory beeps! I replaced all the memory and reinstalled Win98 and I got no errors this time. I should have thought about the memory before I ran through all the diag. stuff on the HDD.

    Thanks,
    JKS

    Try this:

    <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q191/7/07.ASP" target="_blank">http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q191/7/07.ASP</a>

IF that doesn't work I would check out a site called DDLWORLD.com. I would look for and download a different version of that file.
