Need Sound Card Driver
I Need the modem/sound card driver for Smart Modular Technoligies Inc, Internal modem/sound card combo.
Card is P/N 90079 "Riptide" Internal Modem/Soundcard Combo.
Originally shipped with a HP Pavilion 6573Z Desktop PC.
Can any one help me in locating this driver?
I have looked on Smart's & HP's websites. Can not seem to find it.
LOL: This card is not for my pc. It is for my Nephews computer.

Need driver
I have this card, too, and am having problems with the sound card portion of it. It crackles and pops with static periodically. I assume I need an updated driver for XP. I have contacted HP, Conexant, searched the web, pulled my hair out, etc. Can you help?

Same problem as I have here http://forums.windrivers.com/showthr...light=conexant
Something is really really bad about HP and their hardware, I still haven't solved my problem though. I have talked to the HP customer service asking them for assistance but.. I'm still here, and I'm not really sure what soundcard i actually have now... Sometimes the Device manager finds HP ALi Audio and other times it finds Conexant ac-link... But when I try to install the drivers it says "The device cannot start, error code 10". Same problem with the modem, No Modem...
Continue the search for solution in this GRRRReat forum
(Sorry if I posted a thread with no help)
