dvd rom drive can't read discs
I bought a dynex dvdr100 dvd rom drive to replace the drive that wasn't working. However, when I try to play anything, be it cd or dvd, it gives me a message saying that either the disc is corrupted, or the format is not compatable with windows. Also, for some reason, sometimes it says it's a cd drive, sometimes it doesn't. While I was also having problems with the old drive, that one was having a completely different set of problems than the new one. I'm far from an expert when it comes to these things, but the only thing I could think of was that it's a driver problem. However, neither windows nor the manufacturer have any updated drivers.

Well i talked to a few people, and tried tech support one more time. Guess it's just a bad drive. So nevermind i guess. Thanks anyway.
