VPN connections
Hey all,
I'm wondering if it's possible to have a computer connect/prompt for a VPN login before the windows xp login prompt comes up (i.e. before a user logs in)...
Thanks.

Check the box for "logon using dialup connection" at the logon screen (assumes that a vpn connection is already defined)

..hmm. What if my VPN isn't over a dial-up connection - i.e. DSL/Cable modem/router, etc...

As long as you save the password in the VPN connection and check "Anyone who uses this computer" it will appear in the "dial-up" connection list at the logon screen as CeeBee said.
If you don't do this then it will not show.

I see now...I'll have to try that then - but what if my VPN password is different then my domain user/password? - Or is this not a factor?

it is not a factor. the vpn connection will be 'dialed' first, then the logon process will take place.
