Problems using a Jumpdrive..
First off hello to everyone, my first time on the board..
I am trying to install a Lexar JumpDrive Secure on a Windows 2k machine. I put it in the USB slot and it does nothing. Doesn't show up in My Computer or under Computer Managment at all. I looked for it in Device Manager and device manager wont open up. I let it sit for 3 hrs yesterday figuring it was just taking a long time to set itself up. No luck, I pulled the drive out and I got the error message saying I removed it improperly without stopping it first but I dont have an option to stop it. It must be seeing it to some extent, its just locking down the computer before it finishes installing it i guess. As soon as I unplug it and get that error device manager opens up with no problems and the computer is fine again. I looked on Lexar's site and no drivers are required its says.. I'm stumped.. Any idea's?
Thanks!
Craig

Can you plug it into another computer to see if it's a computer issue or drive issue?
