    Outlook XP problems

Okay, I've got a customer who is using Outlook XP. Now, the problem occurs when he tries to access his Personal Folders. if he just clicks on his 'personal folders', he will get this error message and cannot access any of his personal folders:
"Unable to expand the folder. the set of folders could not be opened. The file c:\documents and settings\name\desktop\jbcontacts.pst could not be found."

I can't even run the inbox repair tool, because i can't find that .pst file to repair because of the error message. I've looked up a MSKB article, but that doesn't really apply to this error message. Anyone have any ideas?
I think the problem is either an ID10T or PEBCAK error

Sounds like the user's pst file got deleted, although why was it saved to the desktop? Search the local drive for *.pst - you might find a copy or backup. Otherwise, he might be SOL.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.

Can you run a Windows search or a Google desktop search for a *.pst? Maybe it got moved accidentally and you can just put it back. Also,.. this won't help you, but is a related item should you need it.

Did someone add a .pst file (a backup for example) from the desktop, assuming that it didn't need to keep using the loaded file (thinking that it would be saved in the normal location once it was loaded into Outlook)?
