    What is the difference?

Just curious,.. I haven't been able to figure this out. What exactly is the difference between Win2K and WinXP? I mean, obviously XP has SP2 which adds the integrated security tools,.. and XP seems to have a bit more multimedia support. But other than that, Win2K seems to make more sense. It's like a stripped down XP OS. It's kinda like,.. do you want eye candy? Go with XP. Do you want a stable, secure, reliable OS? Go with Win2K. That's how I look at it. Any thoughts on this?

Cool. Then I will save my company some money and purchase the 2K licenses instead of the XP licenses.

XP has better driver support and has a few features here and there that make it worth the money

The prices for OEM Windows 2000 is usually the same, if not more expensive then XP Prof. You would probably not be saving your company any money.

Were you aware of Downgrade rights with XP Professional? In that you can own XP Pro, but install any other MS OS on that Machine (except Win95 and XP Home), OEM qualifies, see here:
