Hi there, my problem is that I have realtek ac97 and have no sound. On the sound and audio device properties - under the volume tab, the device volume and speaker settings are grey and unmoveable but otherwise everything looks fine. Please help!!

    Hi briankin,

    Welcome to WinDrivers!

    From Toshiba's website:
Realtek Audio Driver for Windows XP It was Posted: 09/21/04, Released Date: 08/20/04...fairly recent.

Also, notice the links on the left for User's Guides, etc.

    Hope this helps out...Good Luck!

i have a Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller and as brainkin said i also have a greyed out and unmovable device and audio tab.

in device manager there is also a yellow mark near Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatiblity Driver.

My mother board is Gigabyte GA-7VT600 1394.

    any ideas?

    thanks in advance

Try removing the sound devices in divive manager then reinstall the drivers, reboot your machine is should load them.
