dlink dl624 dead all leds are on
Hi, I have a dead dlink which has all led for ports ON. cannot connect to computer even if I reset the unit. indicator on desktop for lan ports connected to the dl624 shows "network unplugged".
hope you guys can help me revive this even if I need to open it up, no warranty.

This is the DI-624 wireless model? If yes, next question is can you connect wirelessly?

yes it is a wireless router, and no, I cannot connect wirelessly as well. it's as if it's not there.

If you've done a hard reset and it still doesn't show via ethernet or wifi I would have to say it has gone bad. Don't think you have many options here apart from throw the thing away and get a new one unfortunately.

Its probably terminal as Platypus says but ...
.. Sometimes if you are lucky when you open up a router you can find that there's an eeprom chip which you can lift out & reflash (gonna need an eeprom programmer for this) with fresh firmware which can fix matters, but its got to be about 4 years since I tried that (when routers were much more expensive). I think a new one sounds on the cards too ...

Seriously though, for the price of a new router I wouldn't waste your time and effort on this one. I have the same model that I purchased for about € 65 eight months ago so they aren't that expensive.
