    Wink Missing export user32.dll: GetWindowModuleFileNameA

When attempting to run run videos of any type with various programs (Win Media Player, Quicktime, etc.) I get the error message: "Oleacc.dll is linked to the missing export user32.dll: GetWindowModuleFileNameA" and then "A device attached to the system is not functioning."
    I am running version: 4.00.950 (44,544 bytes)
of user32.dll on Windows 95B. Thanks for any help.

What model, version and type of video card are you using?

No matter the type, have you updated the display drivers?

    Question

Thanks, Tim. No, I havn't updated my video display drivers. How do I go about it? I own a Packard Bell and their support site has updated monitor/display drivers, but they read: download at your own risk and I was cautious. What do you suggest? P.S. How do I find out what video card I have installed? Shilo

If it's a Packard Bell, it's most likely built on the mainboard. If you open the case, you should be able to find a chip on the mainboard for the display driver.

If your system is slow enough, you can see the "Video BIOS" screen before the mainboard BIOS screen comes up. There is a utility in the Windrivers utility section for identifying mystery components in computers. You might want to peruse that for the drivers.

Another thing you can do for a clue is to go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System. Click on "Device Manager" tab at the top and click on display.

It should at least identify the manufacturer of the chipset. You can then go the chipset's website and download "reference" drivers.

    Good luck <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

*** Warning: some PB restore CDs will format the hard drive if you attempt any type of restore. ***
