    Red face DOS Memory

Can someone please help me out here. I have a PII 266 processor and Windows 989 operating system.

I have trouble getting more conventional memory to run old games that I have. The question is am I limited to the amount of conventional memory I can squeeze out of this sucker. The best I have been able to do is 585,000. Some programs want 600,00 and more.

I had both Dos 6.2 and windows operational systems running on former 486 machine. However I do not think Win 98 allows for this as early version of win 95 did

    Cool

What you may want to do is make a boot disk specifically for your games. I don't have any experience myself but I have read about it being done. A dual boot system with DOS 6.2 in a partition or on a second hard drive is an option also. Here is a link to a DOS info site. http://jason-n3xt.org/dos/

Yeah & another point, you'll need REAL hardware to allow sound & CD to work if required.

Zork wouldn't work on my Cryix Media II gx; CD doesn't currently work.
