Serial Telnet for Win2k
OK, gurus of WinDrivers...
I need to be able to tie a serial terminal into a Win2k box. The serial data needs to be transmogrified into TCP/IP telnet data and vice versa.
You may ask why I need such a driver... Well, I want to use an old Apple ][e to control WinAmp using a terminal emulator on the Apple and a few tricks with long haul wiring to get the RS-232 data to the serial port of a Win2k machine that runs WinAmp with BrowseAmp and now a Telnet plugin.
Oh yeah... Free, too.
And after watching Lost Wednesday, suddenly a junk ][e has a higher "nerd-cool" factor.
Thanks in advance,
Kenny P.

hyperterminal is an interface - it can be used for telnet yes... but in the way you want - not sure.

Yep...
I need RS-232C (Com1 most likely) rerouted to IP port 23 - telnet on the same machine.
