Converting Outlook PST files to RTF files
We were recently told by our upper IT management that we no longer support the use of Outlook Personal folders, or PST files. We will no longer back them up if they are on the servers, and we (local IT) are only allowed to help the end-users move their PST files from the network drive to their local C drives.
We are also told that we will no longer maintain any emails older than 60 days. However, if the end users save their emails outside of Outlook, then they are no longer emails - they are documents instead. We are allowed to keep work-related documents The problem there is that we have many users who have several PST files with hundreds of emails. I scanned our servers the other day for .PST files and found 32 GIGs of data!
So, I went through and cleaned out my PST file. I deleted quite a few, but the ones that I saved, I had to go File --> Save As..., and save them each individually on the network drive. Now this isn't such a big deal for somebody who does not have a ton of old email. However, I know many users who have YEARS of emails. They simply cannot just delete the files, or move them to the local C drive for risk of the hard drive failing. These are tons of business related documents and correspondence.....
It's also against policy to burn them to CD/DVD either, or move them to an external drive. It sounds crazy, but hey, I didn't make the rules.
Anyway - does anyone know of a way to MASS-SAVE all these emails into .RTF files (rich-text format), which I know is an option when you save them individually. It would literally save thousands of man hours if I could find a solution.
Thanks!

No - unfortunately, I'm salaried.
Therefore, the less I have to be here - the better!
However, it would look good on my review if I saved the company $$$ by batch saving all these files.
