Disk not being seen in NEC RW ND-2500
I have a NEC DVD RW ND-2500A running under Windows XP Pro SP2.
My problem is that my computer only occasionally recognizes DVD – disks.
Most of the time it does not see that a disk is in the drive and says the drive is empty.
This problem does not seem to occur with DVD + and I am at a loss as to how to correct this problem.
Any help greatly appreciated, as most of my backup disks are on DVD – media.
I never thought to check them before hitting the delete key!
Cheers

Thanks for the reply
This problem occurs with different manufacturers media, and I'm not sure where to go for this information.
By Googling, almost every disk seems to be compatible!
I have checked that I have the latest firmware installed, so I'm at a loss.
Cheers
