USB Gamepad drivers needed
Hello, I just purchased a "NEW" USB gamepad
Disney DreamDesk model MD42474 it was manufactured by MEDION
it is a vibration/feedback PC gamepad controller with 10 fire buttons, 2 joysticks manufacture date of 09-04 on back
The driver CD seemed to have an auto install, but all it wanted to do was install 2 .dll files, and directx 8, but since i had DX9 it did not force the 8 install. I am running windows XP Professional and it recognizes the USB device, but will not find any drivers. I have searched the manufacturers website and no drivers, i called their tech support and they said it is out of warranty and not supported. I see the manufacturer listed on this sight, but didn't want to buy a subscription if they do not have drivers to fix the problem. Any advise would be greatful.

This is supposed to be Connection via USB-port - so it just installs....
Is there a yellow ! or ? on the gamepad in device manager?
Does the gamepad function?
Does the gamepad show up in control panel (classic view) game controllers?

In an attempt to keep this as simple as possible, in case, I posted a site that should cover EVERYTHING needed about XP Pro and gamepads !!!
Just do some roaming there and read !!!
Should you be unable to get answers thereby, please come back and say so.

F AULTS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES
The game controller is not recognized or receives no response.
Have you connected the cable according to the installation
instructions? Check all cable connections.
Did you connect the Game controller before installing the
software ? Remove the USB plug from the port and only
connect it to the unit after installation.
What you should have done C ONNECTING YOUR GAME CONTROLLER TO A PC
1. Switch on your computer and wait until Windows has finished
loading.
2. Insert the driver CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The
installation menu appears automatically and the program
will install the Game controller driver.
3. Switch on the computer and all the peripherals connected
(monitor, printer, external modem, etc.) and wait until the
operating system has fully started.
4. Locate a free USB port on your computer.
5. Connect the end of the USB cable ( ) with the free USB
socket on your computer ().

Disney DreamDesk model MD42474
I bought the same joystick a while back and just moved to Australia. I'm trying to set it up for my son to play game but it asks for a CD Rom. I don't remember that the CD came with the joystick (if it did then we probably lost it in transit). Any idea how I could get around this problem??
Thanks

Martin, I have removed your email address to help prevent you from getting spam. There is no way anyone could have attached the drivers (they would be too big) anyway.
You can see if they posted the drivers on their site http://www.medionusa.com/ clicking on customer care, on the left, click disney products, then on the left again, click downloads, still on the left click drivers and manuals.
Now put in your MD/LT number in the middle box. The number is one on the gamepad. If you still don't know, use the contact link on the left under drivers and manuals.
For this gamepad the MD/LT number is MD42474
