parkerd - mmc cards which have been passworded need the password. If the card can be read in another reader, and depending on the make/model, you may be able to overwrite the password.
When you installed this drive, can you tell me exactly what you did?
Did you see the jumper settings?
Was this drive an addition to what you have or a replacement?
Have you looked in disk management? It may only have a 10gig partition made, rather than the full 20. To get to disk management, right click my computer, select manage.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

If there is nothing on the disk you want, you can right click on the 9.32(healthy) and delete partition. Then you can right click again and create a partition which is the full 20 gig. You then format it and you can then use it.
If there is stuff on the disk, copy it off first. Destroying and recreating a partition takes the data with it using disk management.

Does it show any partition information... you need to delete the primary partition on that drive.
How is the drive hooked up? What position is the jumper in?

OK so this is probably a jumper problem/cable position problem
Is it on the secondary or the primary ide?
Do you have another drive on the same cable?
3rd Time of asking
How exactly did you install this drive?
Other thought - this drive is likely to be second hand... have you run the maxtor powermax to test this drive?

Is the drive that is already there the one with your operating system on it?
Is the drive that was already there on the end of the cable or the middle?
Run powermax, test the drive and see if it sees the full 20 gigabytes.

If there is nothing on the drive, then run the "low level format" or "zero fill drive" in powermax. This will remove all data on the drive, once done, windows should see it as 20 gig unallocated.
