    Connecting TV to PC Problem

I am trying to get my Media Center PC connected to my TV. My vid card is an ATI Radeon X600 SE with DVI and Svideo. No matter what I do I cannot get the pc to connect to the tv. In the Displays option, the TV option is grayed out and cannot be selected. I downloaded the latest ATI drivers and control panel and still nothing. It gave me an option to force the TV connection but that did not work either. I am using the Svideo to rca adapter and then hooking directly to the tv. Adapter is not the problem as I use this setup for my laptop all the time with no issues. Any ideas I could try?

Did you connect the cable while the pc was running?
Have you tried connecting the pc and the tv with BOTH off?
Have you lowered the pc screen resolution to 800x600?
Tried setting the colour dept the 16bit?

have a read here as well
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Sorry I should have been more clear as I did every one of those at least 3 times. This shouldn't be that difficult. Can't be the tv as it works fine with my laptop. Could the s-video-rca adapter be the problem? I can't understand that would be either. I have another tv in the house that has a s video port (unlike the one I am trying now). Its just a pain in the a$$ to get behind and connect anything. I am beginning if it is this card just doesn't like my TV. I am thinking of purchasing another card and see if that works. I like GeForce products better anyways IMO. Thanks for the help so far.

Thanks to CCT as well to the Dell link. I should have looked there first. Even though id did not fix my problem it is really useful info...

I had an issue once with this sort of thing. I rolled back the driver and it started to work. Installed the Newest Catalyst and it continued to work.
