M2NPV-MX and unknown device
just installed this asus mobo brand new, latest bios, but keep getting an unknown device, in device manager, I have downloaded drivers from asus, nvidea and have cd rom, but it wont detect it, any ideas?
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

These are usually system devices - have you installed the coolnquiet driver?
How about NVIDIA GeForce 6150 + nForce 430 Chipset WHQL Driver V8.24 ?

Intel Mod
Some people seem to be suggesting the AMDLive! patch, looks like if the board has Live! support it can be turned off in the BIOS. Presumably this will reveal whether that's the unknown device.
If it is, the only place I've spotted the Live! patch so far is here:

SORRY , AND thanks, I got it know, I have a habit of turning serial and parellal ports off in bios, I renabled them and it sorted it, I still dont understand, why they are still putting them on these days.
