Vista Backup
Anyone tried to use it yet? It doesn't allow you to select individual folders or files; aka pain in the ***.
This might be a handy link to keep. XP version of NT Backup on Vista.

With the way that harddrive prices are i wouldn't even consider using an individual file backup routine. If it's worth backing up then a full pc backup works well. Vista has this feature in most of the versions and it works well

I don't even bother with backup - I do images. One weekly on the document drive and one monthly on the OS drive.

Doesn't take away from the fact that you can't select specific files or folders. If you want to do an image fine but the point is MS don't give you a choice with the native Vista backup.
For me it is a step backwards for the backup portion and a good step forward for the image side of things.

Almost any of the newest image based backup tools allow recovery of single files and folders for a restore. Anyway, I was suggesting an alternative, not a fix for Vista.
