Sound Card Won't Work!!http://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/mad.gif
hi i am a computer maintainance and i am having problems with a sound card (it says it cannot start with an !). i have a 'Creative AudioPCI (ES1371, ES1373) (WDM)'. i have a very old gateway made for Windows ME, 2000 professional with a Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.80GHz with 256 MB of RAM it is running Windows XP Professional V.2002 SP2

If you right click on the !, what error is indicated?
What specifc model of Gateway? |

Creative AudioPCI Es1371, Es1373 WDM
Hi,
I have experianced the pain of the Creative AudioPCI ES1371, ES1373 WDM issue that is everywhere. Can someone help me PLEASE, I think my brain is melting! I tried doing the searching myself and every time I think I found what I need it turns out to be just another money pit, UGH!!!! I went from W98 to XP a few years ago, a buddy did it for me as I'm not too PC savy. He said he did a clean install, not an upgrade. He didn't mention any problems or issues (unless he expected them and was prepared!?!) Anyway, he's gone now and two weekends ago, I decided to reload it because it was just a mess (and I was tired of hearing the little woman complain) and now, guess what.... NO SOUND!!! I know you're tired of hearing about this issue and it's so old but, please, please help me, she's mad and I'm slow and I'm running out of hiding places! |
