external monitor on lap top
Hello folks I have a question on external monitor hooked to Lap Top
What Key`s Access external monitor from it`s own monitor?

I had to find the passage back to the place

Keys, I'm unsure of. If you go into the display settings you can enable it. Also go into power settings and disable the sleep on lid close. If you need the steps let me know. I can't look now since I'm just rushing past the thread while working.

You mean key combination to switch display between internal/external screen? If that, varies between units - of what I have here HP/Compaq uses Fn+F4, Asus and Toshiba both use Fn+F5

I usually look for a key with a light blue colored "FN" on it, and when that key is depressed and held, all the keys that have a blue icon on them become active. Almost all the laptops I have seen use this method. Also, some laptops require enabling dual output in the BIOS, so check there as well.

Thanks guy`s I also have hp/compaq, FN+F4 did the deed
