Somehow I have the feeling the record has a bad track and is stuck. Maybe they should go to an MP3 player.
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!

oh cheese.. you just can't keep everyone happy these days
an upgraded forum board is an upgrade, it has more features and benefits than the version before it, that's why its a new version...
Like anything new, bugs have to be ironed out but overall upgrade when possible is kinda the rule of order as far as technology is concerned..
resistance to change is futile...
and I for one am in full agreement with the upgrade because there is parts of the old version that are totally crappy..

I look forward to the upgrades. Not just because Windrivers is way overdue for it, but also for additional security enhancements/fixes. Hopefully less Bots impersonating as users here.

I was looking forward to the upgrade but nothing works, I can't search my profile for old posts I made, I can't search for key words to find threads, and back tracking to even look at a recent post I made is a hassel. At the risk of sounding like a luddite I have to say I don't enjoy the process of using this forum and may lose interest in it quickly.

The broken search function is a known issue and they are working on it.

yeah lmgtfy is great, however using google to peruse the threads in a non-chronological order to back step to a thread i replied to 3 weeks ago is not. I don't volunteer on here so i can feel like I'm at my crap job that I can do monday through friday with pay.

I realize it's not as good as the WinDrivers Search but, it's about the only viable solution until the WinDrivers search is fixed.
If you add a few unique words to that search string it should help narrow the list of hits.

Then why was it upgraded to a broken version? No offense, but if I did something like that for work I'd find myself with an extra 9hrs/day of spare time...
I understand it's "company policy" and uniformity keeps costs lower, but at some point the people who know more than management about the inner workings should raise a flag and say "hey, we shouldn't do it, it's making things worse"...
