each one of those drivers links only installs Akamai NetSession Interface which doesn't help me out when i need the main drivers that will make the hardware run to get on the internet i thank you for trying though, Ive spent 9hrs today trying to fix it and even emailed asus about this and nothing yet..
i wonder if there is a CD that i can buy to reinstall the divers on my computer

What exactly are you downloading? I've just test downloaded two .ZIP files from there, the Intel Chipset Update (which will contain the USB drivers), and the Atheros LAN drivers. The Atheros zip is 215kB in size and contains 5 files including the 64bit installer .exe and the .sys driver file. The 2.53mB Intel zip contains 3 files including the installer .exe and install/uninstall script files. Have you unzipped files and run the installers?

OK, I didn't know to download the chip-set update. I downloaded the LAN and Wireless driver links and kept getting the Akamai NetSession Interface

Welcome to Windrivers LeoL605. Since it seems your motherboard drivers have not been installed, hence the USB is not working, I would burn all relevant drivers to a cd and label it for use should the occasion arise you would need them again.
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!
