Things You Should Never Post in a Forum
It's amazing how many people don't read the Acceptable Use policies for support forums, or are perhaps just amazingly stupid. Saw this elsewhere today: "Actually my windows 7 is not genuine, its a pirated version..If i update, will that affect my graphic card performance?"
No surprise that a mod closed the thread, but I can't help but wonder who else has seen stuff like this? Hopefully, you'll share.

If I remember correctly we had an individual asking on this forum how to get the password to a wireless router, after a week of us troubleshooting one of us asked if it was their wireless router. To which he answered no, it's his neighbor and that neighbor figured out he was piggy backing on the wifi.
I believe I even still have their name and the threats they threw at me in private message once we told him no.

Good one! Yeah, I've been down that road where somebody wants to piggy back on another WLAN. But, I don't want to confine the discussion to security issues. Here's another example: "I would like to see Women's gymnastics split into 2 categories. Under 18 and over 18. Also, the over 18 should be nekkid."
So, it's all about boneheaded and stupid remarks that shouldn't have seen the light of day in public. Heck, I bet anyone can spend 15 minutes on ZDNet and produce 100 examples. It's probably better if you don't have a citation for the remark, 'cause there might be copyright issues, so just post all the junk you've seen online.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of sites that don't have an AUP
And a lot of newbies that simply don't know or think that asking for links to download Windows is a bad thing...
And then there's the people that think they've given Microsoft enough money and that they are somehow entitled to free stuff.
I got into an argument with a guy that thought the $40 upgrade to Win 8 was a 2 for 1 sale. He thought that since he paid for Win 7 he should be able to use both.

Should have spent as little time in the chat room a few years ago. It seemed like every second person was asking
how to get a key for windows XP. Vista security and Windows 7 have all but eliminated it now, thank goodness.
I got cussed out so many times for being a Microsoft snitch. We used to just kick them out but invariably one would not stay out and required permanent banning.
Oh and if you really want to see what not to post on a forum. Check out
www.bash.org.
Now that is some funny stuff
Not really office friendly but it is funny

That site is epic! Thanks Ferrit. I particularly enjoyed the all time bests with the one about the rugby player being drunk in a full bathroom.
