need old unlead photo impact program that came with early microtek scanner
I bought a microtek scanner years ago and included with it was a Photo impact program that was splendid. I have long since abandoned the Microtek scanner since all functions are duplicated nicely with most modern printer- scanners but the Photo Impact program that came with the scanner has become my most trusted and valued photo program. Unfortunately. I have misplaced this early program and hope someone can send me a copy via email. (in your blogs I see that Happyman was able to supply one to a viewer). This is a most unusual program in that it is so simple to use and has the ability to create excellent results. It is an old program and like so many of the oldies, It does not work on Windows 7 or 8. It does work fine on my Windows XP and Vista computers so I do all my photo work on these and transfer the completed product to my new Windows 7 computer. I have tried newer Photoshop programs and find they are lacking in many of the features that this early program had. Amazing isn't it, that a program could be so user friendly and then, in the name of progress, it evolves into something useless? I suppose that is the reason for this site. I see several viewers have asked for copies of this program since they too had misplaced it or didn't realize how rare and valuable it is compared to the new versions. Please help me if you can to replace this valued photo program. I don't know how blogs work since I have never used them before so I hope this message gets sent.
