Toshiba Satellite
Was dropped off bed customer stated. The base that supports the hinges broke off there plastic stand pegs. Monitor looks ok
Harddrive is smooth running with usb2. Mother board had what looked like small fuse and another I could not find which looked like some kind of resistor torn off board you can see where they were attached at solder spot.
Last thing I remember, running for the door,
I had to find the passage back to the place
I was before.

Right in area of power cord plugs in and battery input/output. Multi layer boards but where they were was part of circuit connection for above points. I repaired hinges by drilling through plastic base and used there threaded stud to place in hole for flush surface. tightened screws and loosened cap nut a little to allow for easier movement. Just messing around mother board is probably too much anyway`s.

I'm afraid I still cannot "see" anything, nor do I understand most of what you are saying. What specifically do you need help with?

XP - just look for that model in a parts ad.
Then look for 'disassembly' instructions for it.

I already had it apart with mother board in my hand with ground strap. After taking apart a few laptops they are pretty simple. I cut off a piece of cardboard to label all of those screws, just push them in and edit where they go.
