She has been tryin to get health care for years now. All the other pro's who actually have health care get it through working spouses.

Well, good luck to her.
I'm in a simlar boat with the girls, it sucks. I want us all on my insurance so it's just a tiny bit cheaper but we are not married and the kid is not mine.

Yep, and with the laws against gay marriage nor gay rights, it will be hard for couples like yourself to share eachothers benefits as well.

Yeah I guess so but in my case I could just get married to my GF and end the whole issue. Dunno about the kid though, that might include adoption but maybe not...

I dont think you need to adopt. The least you might have to do is become a legal guardian. I might be wrong. Its different in every state I think.
