    Question Nvidia card IRQ issue

Client has Nvidia TNT2 M64 video card plugged into Gigabyte GA-6VM7A+ mainboard

trying to run MS multimedi player and get blue screen or just jambs up (can get a problem everytime)

Noticed IRQ settings on both onboard sound card and plug in Nvidia card are both IRQ 11 and can't change either. Using Win98 op sys

Any clues how to change either as I am guessing this may be reason for blue screen or jamb issue. No other problem been evident until trying the Mutimedia player.

Thought I'd try another videpo card also and see it cures issue but not yet done this.

Reading other comments elsewhere it seems it might be a refresh rate issue with suggestion to change it to 75Mhz. I haven't done this as yet as interested in other comments .....

Go into the motherboard's BIOS settings, PCI/PNP Configuration I believe, and change the IRQ assignment from 'Auto' to 'Manual'. This should give you control of the IRQ's outside of Windows.
    Hope this helps. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Try moving the sound card into a different slot. On my MSI motherboard , whenever I move my sound card or modem to a different slot my IRQ's change for them but my nvidia video always stays at 11. Im running Windows 98

Being as the sound card is built in try disabling it and install a different card just to make sure there is no underlying problem.
