If you go to: www.3dfx.com you'll find the latest (and last) drivers available for the Voodoo line. They should have the most current compatability.
Hope this helps. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

The last drivers on 3dfx's web-site for the V2 1000 for W2K are DX7 compatable only, you might be able to use them with DX8 but there are known issues, besides, driver ver 1.00.00 & 1.02.00 are BETA's.

Agreed they are Beta; their Beta status comes from the fact that 3dfx filed for bankruptcy and was acquired (assimilated?) by NVidia before the drivers were "officially" released. The last drivers were a small bone thrown to the Voodoo faithful by 3dfx/NVidia. As such, they are the best bet for Voodoo owners. I have tried the drivers posted on that site with a Voodoo Graphics card, Voodoo Banshee card and Voodoo 3 card with no ill effects.
Dark2k, I honestly believe you will be safe using the posted drivers. They are the most stable Betas I have tried since Matrox Powerdesk v6.01Beta.
3D Prophet II, I'm not arguing with you out of hand, it's just that I had previous successful experience with 3dfx's final drivers (which I realize I didn't mention earlier).
Good luck and best regards to all! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
