[RESOLVED] Picture Distortion in Games on Viewsonic GT775

I have a very annoying problem. This only comes up when I try to play a game. As soon as I go into a game, the picture is distorted on the monitor. For instance, it will usually be darker and misaligned on the screen. I have to manually reset the picture to its original state each and every time I go into a game.

From my understanding and past experience, after the monitor is adjusted once for a game, it should not have to be adjusted again. I have determined that this is not a video card issue because this has happened with 2 different video cards. It is also not a problem with any system settings because I have reformatted my computer.

I don't think the monitor is defective, but rather there must be some setting I have to change. However, this has not always happened and has started occurring recently. I really have no idea of what could have caused it.The monitor is a Viewsonic GT775.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried setting the monitor to the desired resolution at the desktop before launching the game?
