[RESOLVED] GigaByte GA-7ZX, Asus V7100, and Windows 2000
I'm having a problem getting my new Asus V7100 AGP graphics adapter to work properly in Windows 2000. I have it up and running fine on Windows 98 on the same system via dual boot. I have tried downloading the latest Asus video drivers, I have the latest MB BIOS rev., and I have even reapplied DirectX 8 and attempted to fix using MS' viaagp hotfix.
Here's what happens:
Boot up in Windows 2000, goes through the black screen Ok and into the white "loading..." screen. Towards the end of the white screen, my monitor turns itself off as if the refresh frequency was too high. Reboot into W2K and choose VGA mode, the adapter looks as if it's working properly (no conflicts etc), but the choices I am given as far as resolution don't come close to what the card can do (color depth reads proper). I have also tried uninstalling my monitor and having W2K redetect it to rule out a monitor p&p issue.
Can anyone provide me any leads to fixing this issue??

Ditch the Asus drivers....use www.nvidia.com 's Detonators....I have the TV-out version of the card, and run WIn2K too...the driver that comes with the card crashes all the time, and Asus's latest revision drivers simply don't function (there's a file in there with the wrong country code.) Besides, the NVIDIA drivers give you more and better functionality anyway.
