ati radeonVE driver problem in XP, wonders what ati is doing.
i bought a radeonVE about 2 weeks ago for the dual monitor support. after buying the card i downloaded the XP drivers and after running the setup program i was greeted with a message that told me the drivers were not compatable with my card. i tried it again, downloaded them again etc...etc.
after about 4 hours of this, i called ati tech support and i got as far as hearing them say "well as far as i know they work." before i realized this would not be a problem easily solved by some moron sitting in front of a computer that doesn't really understand my problem. so i ask any of you, have you had this problem? what do you think i should do, beyond buying a new card.
i have also tried the card in different mobo's
tried it in an ECS K7S5A and on a ASUS A7V, i got the same error both times.
specs:
ASUS A7v mobo
800mhz AMD DURON
512 megs pc-133 ram
20gig western digital hd
ATI RadeonVE
thanks in advance for the help.

Don't run the Setup program, but instead install the card manually via Device Manager.
