Can you boot to Win98 in safe mode? Is there a reason you think its the video card?

Yes, I can boot to Win98 in Safe Mode.
I'm sure its the video card, because when I
try another vga the system works.

If you haven't loaded the AGP drivers for the SOYO yet, that might be your problem.

Check your bios config in pnp/io some motherboards have the option for pci or agp video in them. The default is usally pci.If you don't select the right one your system will freeze nad windows will have a hard time detecting your vidio card.

There must be something with the QDI BIOS,
or a PII setting in the BIOS, which I can't find.
I tried all of the above with no results.
Any more ideas?

Thank you all in advance...

George
