Resolved [RESOLVED] She wants a TV card...

Well, its taken me a while to train her into computers, but I've got there at last. Now she wants a TV card. The question is... which one? I rekon stereo would be an advantage, thats about it. The 'puter already has an AGP matroxG400 32MB in it, so I'm not after anything particularly all-in-one. Any experiences/suggestions/ideas?... ...yes I can pick up a s/h mini colour tv and stick it on top of the monitor, but thats not the idea...

The ATI All-In-Wonder card is excellent, if you want to spend the $300 for it. 32 MB of Accelerated graphics, vidio in/out and all that fun stuff.

If you can find one, an AverTV 98 or 99 would be a good choice. They are older and cheaper but have rock solid operation and OS support. Even Linux supports this card.

ATI TV-Wonder should do the trick.

Or better still. Just get a proper 21" TV..... They are pretty cheap nowadays. And it might go easier on your electric bill...

ATI makes probably the best TV tuner, except only until recently you had to have an ATi video card. They now make a stand alone model that works on any system. Give that a shot, they are about $70.

Well, the TVs at Wards are pretty cheap right now, since their closing up....if you must get a card though, get the Pinnacle PCTVPro. Decent price (I got mine for $40) and has an FM tuner as well.
