Resolved [RESOLVED] Dial up Networking Trouble

Can not open up Dialup Networking. I had a shortcut to the dialup connection but now it has a windows icon, like the program is not installed. Went to add/remove program and took it out then restarted and put it back in and it still don't work??? Any suggestion would help... Thanks....

You might want to go through My Computer/Dial-Up Networking to make sure the shortucut on your desktop is still pointing to a valid DUN icon. If there's nothing in there, try re-creating your DUN icon, and re-create the shortcut.

Go to control panel, add remove programs, Windows settings, uncheck Communications, click Apply/Ok, Do not reboot when it asks to, make sure you've closed Add/Remove Programs, then reopen it, go to Windows Settings, put check back in Communications, click Apply/Ok, Win98 will install new files, this time when it asks you to reboot click Yes/Ok.
This will get rid of your old Dun files, install fresh ones. Just make sure you have access to your Win98 cab files else you'll be hurtin for certain.
