    Unhappy Java misplaced or corrupt???

Everytime I try to get into games at Yahoo I get error messages or just can't get in. Often get a message that says "Java Misplaced or corrupt". Running Win 98SE, what is causing this problem? Using a 56k ext modem on a P200, 64mb ram, 6gb hard drive. Used to work fine getting into Yahoo game sites, but NOT lately. Checked for viruses with latest updates using AVG, have run Adaware 5.8, sscandisked, defragged, run Easycleaner, reinstalled Windows, what do I need to do???

Suggest you download and install the latest version of java <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/java/download/dl_sdk40.htm" target="_blank">from microsoft.</a>

    Should sort it out.

Don't tell me... you got an email a while back called VIRUS ALERT!! and it told you to delete a file from your Windows directory...jdbgmgr.exe perhaps?

(maybe not, but it sounds like a good call, right??)

Was wondering what to do with my 4000th post!

OK, time to clear cache, remove objects. You do this by going into internet explorer tools, options menu...

View files, view objects, right click and delete the yahoo stuff. ( you can actually try right click refresh, it sometimes works.)

Delete any yahoo cookies and temporary internet files (thats called clearing cache)

Just to make sure - reboot.

    Then try again.

LOL ...good call TL. You would be amazed (well, maybe not) how many users down here deleted that file. I could understand the average end user but these guys are mostly Engineers. Go figure.

email yahoo help and describe your problem, they might have a fix, they are usually quite good at responding quickly.
