Post updating win95 to win 98 - system crashed

Upgrading win 95 to 98 - pc crashed before completing update. HELP !!! PC is Pentium II upgraded, Abit BE6 motherboard (disk says Abit BX 1.65), ATI Rage (601) video, Yamaha PCI Audio/YMF724, PCTel HSP56MicroModem, 42XMax CDrom, Sony 8x4x32 CDRW, Acer 78IE Monitor, Mustek MFS-6000CX scanner, Cannon BJC-4500 & HP LaserJet 6L printers, Iomega 100 Zip drive.(hard drive was upgraded to 40... - actually 30 + something - win95 screen had strange blinking after upgraded)
When upgrading to 98 - error msg OE.... also error msg 06 occured at 0028.00000017 when trying to upgrade - then system crashed - blue screen other than error msgs. Talking to tech on line last nite - tech thought might get some answers - upgrade drivers on equip might fix problem - also - are there any conflicts/resolutions with equip. Any suggestions????? please e-mail to alexamans@aol.com or mki1024530@aol.com Thanks !!!

Win95 can't handle HD partitions greater than 2Gig. Blue screens indicate memory overruns by Windows and 95 was famous for this. Try running setup off a boot up diskette or boot right off the cdrom. Running setup from inside Win95 will overload the system. Win98 should have no problems with your devices.
