Hi there
I have just installed win98se, everything went well until I switched on my Epson GT7000 Photo Scanner which causes windows to display the following error message While Initializing device CONFIGMG windows protection error please restart windows. This only happens when I turn on the scanner when starting up or reseting my computer, if the scanner is left switched off everything starts up fine. If anyone can help me with this problem I would be very grateful, My hardware spec is AMD Athlon 800 Abit KA7 Motherboard 256mb PC133 CAS2 Memory 34.2GB IBM Harddrive Matrox G400 DH 32mb AGP Video Soundblaster Live Value Iomega 250mb internal zip drive Pace 56K Modem Pioneer 10x 40x DVD Plextor 8X 20X CDWriter Plextor 40x SCSI CDRom Drive Thanks ------------------ Seamus Gallagher PC Computer Technician Have a problem give me a tinkle. |

configmg is the windows configuration manager, more then likely its being caused by your scanner drivers...why exactly is hard to say...i don't know the specs on the scanner or anything...you can try updating your scanner drivers.
