    Resolved [RESOLVED] ATAPI NOT DETECTED

I just bought a Creative 52x and when i try to install it, it gives me that message, actualy what happens is when it scans the memory, it detects my HD and then it just stalls for 10 seconds, and gives me that message. After that it promps me for a bootable disk... how do i fix this?

If your running the hard drive and the cdrom off the same chain (data cable), you need to set the jumper on the back of your cdrom to slave, it seems that both are set to master and conflicting.

Yeah, sounds like jumper issues to me too. If they're on separate controllers, it might already be on slave and have to be mastered. I've got one of those drives too, just be sure to hit the orange button to turn on the high speed before extracting audio or installing stuff.
